22 CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters Respond to Train vs. Pedestrian Incident
At 6:56 a.m. this morning, 22 CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to a train vs. pedestrian incident along the Apache Trail in Cabazon, California. The first arriving engine company reported a patient was trapped under the engine and required extrication, according to a Riverside County Fire Department incident report. The male victim was extricated around 8:00 a.m. and transported via AMR ambulance to Desert Hospital, where he sustained severe injuries. A total of 3 engines, 2 truck companies, 4 overhead personnel and 1 ambulance responded. The cause of this incident is currently under investigation.
