3 Year Old Female Injured in Major Traffic Collision in Ventura
Ventura Fire and Police units responded to a report of a traffic collision with injuries near the intersection of Telegraph Rd. and Saticoy Ave. on November 5, 2011.

First arriving units found a single vehicle traveling eastbound on Telegraph Rd. had collided with a tree on the north side of the roadway and sustained major damage. The two female occupants inside the vehicle sustained injuries as a result of the collision.

Due to the level of damage, firefighters on scene needed the "jaws of life" rescue tool to free the occupants. A three-year-old female who had been restrained in a car seat did suffer a serious head injury and the 65-year-old female driver sustained injuries to her back and left leg. Both patients were transported by paramedic ambulance to the regional trauma center at Ventura County Medical Center.

The cause of the traffic collision is under investigation by the Ventura Police Department. Due to HIPAA we are prevented from disclosing an individual's protected health information (PHI).  We may not release information regarding patient's names, DOB, address, SS# or medical status.
