AMR Begins Service in McMinn County, Tennessee

March 9, 2011###The McMinn County, Tenn., Board of Commissioners has awarded AMR a new five-year contract to provide 9-1-1 emergency ambulance services. AMR began providing services at 12:00 a.m. today. AMR also provides non-emergency ambulance transportation services to the county's hospitals and nursing facilities.

John Gentry, McMinn County Mayor, said, "After a competitive bidding process for emergency ambulance service, AMR emerged as the best choice for McMinn County as a result of the company's expertise, clinical abilities and financial strength. We are confident AMR will provide exemplary service to our citizens and are excited to have one of the most successful ambulance companies in the nation operating in McMinn County."

Erin Downey, AMR General Manager, noted "We are pleased to have been chosen by McMinn County to provide 9-1-1 services to the county. Our unmatched clinical commitment to the community reflects the increasing value communities are placing on the use of clinical data, state-of-the-art equipment and strong protocols to help drive improved patient outcomes."
