Abilene Fire Department Involved in Motor Vehicle Accident with Tractor Trailer
At approximately 11am on Monday, December 19th, 2011, Engine 4 from the Abilene Fire Department was involved in a motor vehicle accident with a tractor trailer vehicle on I20 at mile marker 286. Engine 4 was parked on I20 blocking traffic in order to protect the patients they were treating and all First Responders on scene when a tractor trailer attempted to change lanes at the last minute and clipped the back end and right side of Engine 4 with its trailer. No one was injured in the collision. Abilene Police worked the accident and is currently investigating the cause of the crash. Author:Abilene Fire Department Press Release
