At 7:10 PM on Monday, October 31st, 2011, units of the Abilene Fire Department responded to a reported mobile home fire at the Hartford Village Mobile Home Park in the 5800 block of Hartford Street in Abilene, Texas.

Responders reported seeing smoke and flame from more than a mile away.  They arrived to find a fully-involved mobile home and quickly attacked the fire, bringing it under control in less than fifteen minutes.

The home had been vacant for some time and the utilities had been disconnected.  Fire Department investigators believe the fire was intentionally set and are investigating it as an arson.

The property is considered a total loss and damage is estimated at $10,000.  There were no injuries reported.
