American LaFrance, LLC, is proud to announce Arata Equipment Company as its new dealer for Northern California including the San Francisco Bay region.  As an American LaFrance dealer, Arata Equipment is authorized to sell new American LaFrance fire products along with providing warranty, service, and parts to departments operating American LaFrance equipment.

The Arata family has been a mainstay in the Bay Area since the 1920's when the business operated as Arata Motor Sales.  In 1953, Arata Equipment Company opened its doors with an emphasis on distributing refuse bodies and other vocational type equipment.  Through the years, the company has expanded into other lines that compliment Arata's successful business model.

"Adding a fire apparatus line to our business has been in our sights for quite some time, so we were excited about the opportunity to partner with American LaFrance," says Don Arata, President of Arata Equipment.  "We have built an outstanding relationship with many of the municipalities in the area through our focus on supplying quality equipment and attention to service.  We will carry that formula into the fire industry."

American LaFrance President Torben von Staden believes Arata Equipment will quickly become a rising dealer within the American LaFrance organization.  "Don Arata and his team exhibit all the qualities that drive success in business," says von Staden.  "They immediately invested in their facilities and service technicians to prepare for the support required in the industry."
