Ashland City Firefighter Killed in Afghanistan
Daniel Greer, a firefighter with the Ashland City Fire Department and a U.S. Marine reserve, died on Sunday from injuries sustained in Afghanistan, according to the Ashland City Times. The Tennesee firefighter was deployed to Afghanistan in January, and was involved in an IED incident on Friday. Ashland Fire Chief Chuck Walker told the Ashland City Times, "Daniel has been a true hero, no only in serving his country, but in serving his community as an Ashland City firefighter."
