Louisiana Fire Department Receives FM Global Grant
The Bossier City Fire Department (BCFD) has been given a $2,500 fire prevention grant from FM Global. Fire Chief Sammy Halphen accepted the award from Brent Merchant, a representative from FM Global at a ceremony Tuesday, according to a news release from the BCFD.

"We certainly appreciate this generous gesture from FM Global," said Halphen. "These funds will help our fire prevention officers get the word out to the public about fire safety with the goal of being a reduction in fires citywide."

FM Global, based in Johnston, Rhode Island, is one of the world's largest business property insurers has given millions of dollars to fire departments around the world through their Fire Prevention Grant Program.
