Brush Fire Burns 3 Acres near Aloha Beach Resort in Kauai
A brush fire that broke out in Wailua the night of October 21, 2011 between Leho Drive and Kūhi'ō Highway in the vicinity of Aloha Beach Resort burned approximately three acres. No one was injured and no structures were threatened. Engine 2 and Truck 2 were the first to arrive on scene following the 12:40 alarm. Engine 3, Rescue 3, Engine 8, Truck 8 and Battalion Chief 1 also responded. The fire was deemed under control at 1 am and fully extinguished at 2 am.
