CAL FIRE Investigators Seeks Publics Help

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters and Investigators were kept busy over the weekend as they responded to three structure fires at Eastvale's Swan Lake Mobile Home Park.

It has been concluded by CAL FIRE Investigators that these fires were intentionally set. The cause of each of these fires is now listed as Arson.

Coincidentally, all three mobile homes were vacant. The first fire was reported on January 28th, 2012 at 10:23 p.m., the second on January 29th at 8:39 p.m., and the third on January 30th at 4:00 a.m.

The fires destroyed one mobile home and caused extensive damage to the others. Damages are estimated in the tens of thousands of dollars.

CAL FIRE Investigators are seeking the publics help to report any suspicious person(s) or activity at the Swan Lake Mobile Home Park by calling the Riverside County Arson Hotline at (800) 633-2836. All calls are confidential and anonymous.

A new partnership has been formed between the University of California San Diego, CAL FIRE, and San Diego County that is helping CAL FIRE/San Diego County FIre Authority to monitor the rural areas of San Diego, California for wildfires. The project, known as FireSite, is using webcams to show firefighters, Incident Commanders and dispatchers a real time, 360 degree view of areas that were previously difficult to view.
