CAL FIRE Investigators Make Arrest For Arson-Caused Fires
CAL FIRE Investigators arrested 18 year-old George Graham of Banning for deliberately starting two fires inside the Banning city limits. Graham admitted to CAL FIRE Investigators that he deliberately started a vegetation fire on July 7, 2010 on Westward Avenue and a second vegetation fire on July 11, 2010 near the intersection of San Gorgonio Avenue and Summit Drive. Graham was arrested and transported to the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning where he was booked and charged with two counts of arson on California Penal Code Section 451. Bail is set at $1,000,000. George Graham is the third individual arrested by CAL FIRE Investigators on arson charges this year. For further information, please call the Riverside County District Attorney's Office at 951-955-5400. "Arson is a hideous crime that should be acknowledged as a deliberate act against life and property. The Arson Hotline is a toll-free and anonymous means for the public to provide critical information that in many cases are of great assistance in apprehending and convicting arsonists," said CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Chief John R. Hawkins. "Anyone with information on any type of deliberately set fire is urged to contact the Arson Hotline." The Arson Hotline can be reached by dialing 1-800-633-2836. Feedback
Are the three arson arrests for Calfire statewide or is this just Riverside County?? ~ doug The press release for this arrest actually should have said the third "serial arson" suspect in Riverside County this year. Cal Fire makes numerous arrests in the state for all types of arson and a majority of the annual numbers come from those arrested in Riverside County, including Ray Oyler. ~ Setting the numbers straight |
