Chinese Public Security Delegation Visits the Ventura County Fire Department
On Monday, April 18, 2011, a public security delegation from the Henan Province of the People's Republic of China visited the Ventura County Fire Department administration building in Camarillo. The delegation was making several stops in North America to learn more about fire protection, planning and prevention as well as law enforcement and other emergency responses. The Ventura County Fire Department was their only Southern California stop.

The delegation was greeted by Supervisor John Zaragoza, Ventura County Assistant CEO Matt Carroll and Fire Chief Bob Roper. After the greetings, the Chinese public safety officials were given an overview of the fire department, a tour of the fire dispatch center and a display of firefighting equipment.

The delegation was led by Mr. Luo Yongsheng, deputy director of the Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Public Security. Zhengzou is one of four directly administered municipalities in the Henan Province. The province itself is located south of China's Yellow River and encompasses 62,000 square miles with a population of 100 million.
