Civilian Members of FDNY Recognized for Their Years of Service
Civilian members of the FDNY were recognized for their dedicated years of service on May 13, 2011, during an annual ceremony hosted by the Quality of Work Life.

"FDNY members are famous the world over for their bravery, professionalism and honorable traditions, and they most certainly deserve that reputation," Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano said. "But what many people do not realize, is that behind all those brave members is a large cadre of dedicated and committed civilian professionals who make it possible for them to do their jobs every day."

Three employees were celebrated for their 40 years of service. Thirteen reached 35 years, 38 completed 30 years. 73 reached 25 years, and 94 completed 20 years. Six members also were recognized for their academic achievements in 2011.
