Colorado Fires Improve
Two fires continue to burn in Colorado. The Four Mile Canyon Fire burned 6,181 acres west of Boulder but is 100 percent contained, according to InciWeb. This fire has been the state's most destructive with 166 homes lost. All evacuated residents have been allowed to return home. FEMA disaster assistance teams are assessing the area. According to InciWeb, there are still 325 personnel on scene continuing rehabilitation and working to secure interior islands so structures within the fire perimeter are not threatened. The second fire is burning west of Loveland, Colorado. The Reservoir Road Fire has burned 740 acres and is 65% contained, according to InciWeb. Officials hope for full containment Friday at 6:00 p.m. Two homes were burned but no others are threatened. Currently, 557 fire personnel are on scene working on complete containment of the perimeter and mop up operations. Author:Barbara Brooks - Fire Department Network News
