Hot, dry conditions hampered firefighters battling a wildfire in Palo Pinto County, Texas that has burned more than 900 acres.  Spring fires have already burned nearly 150,000 acres and destroyed about 160 homes in the county.

To help cash-strapped volunteer fire departments and law enforcement agencies in the area purchase new equipment, country music stars Pat Green, Lee Ann Womack and Stoney Larue will headline a benefit concert Saturday, July 9, 2011, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Four area ranchers formed the non-profit Bucket and Boots Foundation to help firefighters. They will host the event at the Rocker B Ranch in Graford, about 60 northwest of Fort Worth, Texas.

Tickets are $100 each but firefighters and police officers will be able to attend for free.
