Crimson Fire Displays Custom Units at Fire-Rescue International
Crimson Fire, Inc. displayed 5 custom designed and built apparatus at the 2010 International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Fire-Rescue International Exhibit Hall in Chicago, IL, August 27-28, 2010.

We would like to thank each department that allowed us to showcase their unit(s) to make another successful show for Crimson Fire, Inc.

Chicago Fire Department – A rearmount ladder specifically designed to achieve an overall travel height under 11 feet.  Built on a Spartan Gladiator LFD Lo Pro chassis, and featuring a 103' rearmount ladder with 500 lbs tip load, extruded aluminum body, and a complete LED lighting package.

Chicago Fire Department – A high pressure pumper capable of flowing water up to the 50th floor with foam.  Built on a Spartan MFD 10' raised roof chassis, dependable stainless steel body, 500 gallon poly tank, specially configured 1500 gpm pump, and a complete LED lighting package.

San Francisco Fire Department – The tractor drawn aerial is custom designed to meet the city's extreme maneuverability requirements.  Built on a Spartan Gladiator MFD chassis, and featuring an extruded aluminum body, 100' tractor drawn aerial ladder, and a complete LED lighting package.

Naperville Fire Department – The custom pumper soon to be delivered is built on a Spartan Gladiator ELFD 10" raised roof chassis, features a stainless steel body, 750 gallon poly tank, 1500 gpm pump, and complete LED lighting package.

Transformer®, a new pumper with integrated pump that eliminates the traditional pump house by locating the pump and manifold system just forward of the rear wheels. This unique design offers improved performance and handling, as well as a significant increase in storage space.

The HAMMER (Hazardous Material Management and Emergency Response) Training and Education Center in Richland, Washington is well known for training emergency responders in new technologies. Recently, HAMMER personnel took that training on the road for the first time, to teach several classes to firefighters about hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen used in industry.
