Eastside Las Vegas House Fire Displaces 11 People
No one was injured when a house on the city's eastside caught fire early evening on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Fire investigators determined a toddler playing with a lighter started a mattress on fire in an upstairs bedroom. Everyone in the house was able to escape without injury. Firefighters from Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Clark County responded to the house at 4629 Supreme Ct (Marion/Owens) at 6:20 p.m. Smoke was visible from an upstairs bedroom; a mattress in one of the bedroom was on fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze in less than a minute. Damage was confined to the bedroom, mostly around the mattress. Damage was estimated at $5000. The American Red Cross is assisting three adults and eight children that live in the house. Author:Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Press Release
