At 04:57 on November 28, 2011, Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) responded to a 911 call for a structure fire at the 7400 block of West Camp Wisdom Road in Southwest Dallas.

When firefighters arrived they reported out with smoke and fire coming from the second story of a large two-story residence. Though Command called for a second alarm response, first responding companies made an effective offensive attack and quickly extinguished the fire and significantly limited the damage to the home which was valued at almost $420,000.

It is unclear is anyone was actually inside the home when the fire started; but the homeowner was on location when firefighters arrived on the scene. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Arson investigators determined that the fire started as a result of an unspecified electrical short in the fixed wiring of the downstairs laundry room near a tank-less water heater. The fire caused significant damage to the laundry room then traveled up the wall in which it started and ignited the room directly above it.
