FDNY Thanks Fireman's Fund Insurance for Its Generous Donations
It's an organization that has been extremely generous to the FDNY in the last four years, so the FDNY took a moment to say 'thanks' on Oct. 28.

Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano, Chief of Department Edward Kilduff, Chief of Operations Robert Sweeney and Chief of Training Thomas Galvin gathered at the New York City Fire Museum to thank representatives from Fireman's Fund Insurance who have helped secure more than $500,000 to the FDNY Foundation thorough the Fireman's Fund Heritage Program. The funds have gone to critical programs for firefighter training and fire safety education.

"Whether it has gone to gym equipment for our members, our smoke alarm initiative or to state-of-the-art training tools at the Fire Academy, all of the donations from Fireman's Fund have been put to good use," said Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano. "Make no mistake about it, these donations save lives. They save firefighters lives, and they save children's lives, they save homes from being destroyed."
