FEMA Launches Disaster Preparedness Mobile App
November 2011 FEMA has launched a free disaster preparedness mobile app that allows citizens to access information they need anytime on their mobile devices even when there is no mobile service available. The app provides users with a variety of resources such as safety tips on what to do before, during and after a disaster, a map of shelter locations, and FEMA's latest blog posts about disaster incidents and response. The app is available on Android devices, iPhones, and will soon be available on the Blackberry v6. To find out more information about the new mobile app and how to receive free text-messaging updates from FEMA about disaster preparedness, view the video released by FEMA.
