San Bernardino County firefighters responded to an early morning commercial structure fire at the El Rancho Nightclub in Muscoy. Upon arrival, units reported fire coming through the roof of the single story building.

Firefighters were hindered by a locked security gate and live power lines on the ground to the rear of the structure. Despite obstacles, approximately 30 firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire, San Bernardino City Fire, Rialto and Colton Fire extinguished the blaze in about 40 minutes and kept the fire contained to the center portion of the building and away from businesses to the south.

It appears the fire started near a storage room to the rear of the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation by San Bernardino County Fire Investigators with the assistance of San Bernardino County Sheriff's Arson/Bomb unit and their arson trained dog. The business sustained moderate damage, with damage estimates at $100,000. There were no injuries.
