Fire Damages Northwest Dallas Apartment Complex
Firefighters in Dallas, Texas were kept busy Thursday afternoon with a three-alarm fire in a 3-story apartment complex located in the 3400 block of Forest Lane in the northwest part of the city. Firefighters arrived at the Forest Park Village Apartments to find smoke showing, Jason Evans, a spokesman for Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) said in a news release. The fire began at approximately 11:16 a.m. in a second floor unit. The building has a total of nine units and firefighters went into each unit to check for fire extension, according to Evans. It took approximately two hours to extinguish the fire. Numerous people will be without a home for the holidays and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. There were no injuries in the fire to firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Author:Barbara Brooks - Fire Department Network News
