Fire Investigators Determine Beltsville, Maryland Fire to be Arson
Prince George's County Fire Investigators have determined a Beltsville commercial building was intentionally set on fire yesterday morning. Just after 4:00 am, Monday, August 1, 2011, firefighters from Beltsville and surrounding communities were alerted to a building fire. Fire/EMS units arrived at the "Showcase Theatre" in the 11200 block of Old Baltimore Pike with a working fire. The fire was contained and extinguished without incident. Fire Investigators have classified the fire as arson and estimated fire loss at $25,000. Anyone with information about the person(s) responsible is encouraged to contact investigators by calling the Arson Tip Line at 301-77-ARSON (27766).
