An investigation by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue has led to the arrest in connection with a mobile home fire in Seffner, Florida. Todd Knighten was arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and charged with arson, burglary, animal cruelty and possession of drugs, according to a news release from the fire department.

The fire occurred early in the morning on August 29th in the 5200 block of Contata Court. Investigators determined the cause to be arson after detecting multiple points of origin. Following that, a State Fire Marshall K-9 identified and confirmed the presence of an accelerant, which was then linked to the suspect, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

The mobile home was occupied by two dogs and two cats. One of the cats did not survive and the remaining animals were taken by Hillsborough County Animal Services.
