Kapahi, Kauai Man Escapes Injury After His Bedroom Caught Fire
A man escaped injury when his bedroom caught fire early on December 1, 2011 on Kapahi Road in Kauai. Police Dispatch received a call at 3:44a.m. when a fire broke out in the upstairs bedroom of a two-story home. Firefighters were on scene by 3:54a.m., but residents had already extinguished the blaze using a garden hose. The fire was contained to the upstairs bedroom, causing roughly $25,000 in damages to the structure and its contents. Engines 2 and 8, Trucks 2 and 8, and Kaua'i police responded to the incident.
