| Full Story | June 26, 2009 Captain Brett Stearns, a ten year career firefighter with the Bureau of Land Management, was struck and killed by a falling tree, while working at Freeman Reservoir on a hazard tree abatement project with a dozen other BLM firefighters. He died on June 26, 2009 at 1630 hours. Funeral and memorial fund arrangements are pending. |
