Mass Firefighter Injured in Fall From Truck
A firefighter in Weymouth, Massachusetts was injured this morning while fighting a brush fire. The unknown firefighter was on a fire truck adding foam to water lines while fellow firefighters battled the fire behind a condo complex, according to WHDH-TV. Officials said the firefighter fell approximately 10 feet while trying to get some equipment down from the ladder truck, according to WBZ-TV. After the fall, the firefighter was alert but disoriented, according to Channel 7. The extent of his injuries are not known. According to the Boston Herald, about 10:40 a.m., the firefighter fell and landed on his head. Crews placed him on a backboard and transported him to South Shore Hospital.
