It took approximately 20 minutes for the nine units to get the fire under control. There were no injuries reported.

According to fire investigators, the fire began in dry grass next to the trailer and subsequently spread but the cause of the fire remains under investigation. According to the department, damage is estimated at approximately $20,000.

Another trailer fire that occurred early Friday morning in the 12400 block of Roadrunner in Northeast El Paso sent 55 Chihuahuas to Animal Services.
