The Oregon Department of Forestry has 100 percent containment of the Anderson Creek Fire burning six miles southwest of Talent, Oregon. The 11 acre fire was reported Tuesday afternoon and is burning in hot, dry conditions in rugged terrain, Kevin Weeks, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Forestry said in a news release.

Two helicopters, five engines, a hand crew, a bulldozer and a water tender were sent to the scene. Wednesday, fire crews continue with a mop-up operation, according to Weeks.

More than 1,000 firefighters are battling the Oak Flat Fire burning in the Rouge River National Forest. According to InciWeb, the fire has burned 1,250 acres and is 15 percent  contained. The fire is burning in steep, rugged terrain, 10 miles northwest of Selma, Oregon.

There are 27 20-person hand crews and nine engines working in two shifts to build containment lines around the fire, according to InciWeb.

According to Weeks, crews are being managed by the federal Oregon-California (ORCA) Incident Management Team.
