Palomar Ranger District To Begin Prescribed Burn Activity
Ramona, California The Palomar Ranger District of the Cleveland National Forest will conduct prescribed burning from October 19th 2010 to May, 2011 if weather and fuel moisture conditions permit. This vegetation treatment is for the purpose of community defense, fuel break maintenance and forest health. The prescribed burning will take place on Forest Service Land that adjoins the San Diego Country Estates. The projects will cover approximately 250 acres. Some drifting smoke may be visible around these areas during the period of burning. Residents in the area may call Battalion Chief John Forster, Battalion Chief Talbot Hayes or Division Chief Rick Marinelli at 760-788-0250 for further information on the project.
