Revived Maryland Child Will be Home for the Holidays Thanks to Fast Acting Firefighters
In late November, 2011, a 5-year-old female suffered a medical emergency and went into cardiac and respiratory arrest. A crew of firefighters from the Clinton Fire/EMS Station arrived and worked feverishly to revive her. The firefighters will receive an Emergency Services Award for their quick thinking and skill in reviving the young child and transporting her to the nearest hospital in a very unique fashion. The award bestowed by the Fire Chief, however, may not be the highlight of the morning. The young child and family members will reunite with the firefighters that worked as a team to save her life. A life saving experience that will certainly be the most precious and joyous present one could give or receive. WHAT: Reunion of young female patient and her firefighter rescuers and award presentation. WHEN: Thursday, December 22, 2011, 11:30 am WHERE: Clinton Fire/EMS Station #825, 9025 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735 WHO: Young female, her family, career and volunteer firefighters that saved her, Fire Chief Marc Bashoor, co-workers, family and friends Author:Prince George's County Fire/EMS Press Release
