San Bernardino Fire Involves Underground Electrical Vault
Emergency Dispatchers received multiple 911 reports of an unknown type explosion and fire located underground at the intersection of 9th Street and Waterman Ave on October 17, 2011. San Bernardino Fire Department Companies arrived on scene within minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the underground Edison vault. Firefighters assisted by Officers from the San Bernardino Police Department quickly cordoned off the area to all traffic for safety concerns. Representatives from So Cal Edison reported several outages in the area and Firefighters remained on scene form several hours until the area was deemed safe by Edison employees.
