San Franscisco Firefighters Funeral Services To Be Broadcast Live Today
Firefighters from across the country will join thousands of others to pay their respects today for two fallen San Francisco firefighters. The joint service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Mary's Cathedral. Firefighter-paramedic Anthony Valerio and Lt. Vincent Perez died of injuries suffered while battling a house fire in Diamond Heights last Thursday. Valerio, 53, and Perez, 48, are the city's first firefighters to die in the line of duty in 16 years. Crews from throughout the Bay Area will be filling in for those San Francisco firefighters scheduled to work to enable them to attend the service. The service will be carried live in its entirety starting at noon online via ABC7. Author:Barbara Brooks - Fire Department Network News
