9/11 Patriotic Ride and Remembrance Ceremony
If you would like to include this video on your website, copy the code below and place it in your HTML.
Each year, Gary Biggerstaff, an Engineer with the Long Beach Fire Department, places 343 homemade crosses in his front yard. The crosses bear the names and the station of the New York City Firefighters who perished in the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers. Not only is this an act of remembrance, but it is now part of a larger tradition, one that includes a motorcycle ride and a memorial ceremony. Related Videos:

As an airline employee working a newark flight tuesday am @ 850 on 9/11 I will never forget the feeling of having all of the air sucked out of the gate area upon hearing that it was TWO comercial jets that slammed into both towers it was then we knew it was terrorism- we could not spare one second-our bodies just kicked into overdrive.....it felt like the last day on earth......and it just didn't stop....... and I have to say it still seems like yesterday when I see the NY men in uniforms...it will forever be an open wound in my soul....and I will never be able to enjoy bagpipes again....without the searing pain in my heart......WE CAN NEVER LET THIS DAY BE FORGOTTEN-NEVER!!! God Bless.... ~ Jane Davis |
