On Friday, March 28th 2011, the Sublimity Fire District was notified that it had been awarded an Assistance to Firefighters Grant($29,392) to purchase nearly 7,500 feet of fire hose (a mixture of supply and fire attack hose).

This grant will enable us to replace all of our aging hose carried on all of our fire apparatus (some hose is approaching 20 years old). Being able to purchase new hose will create safer fire suppression efforts and increase reliability.

This district has a 5% match ($1,470) that has already been budgeted and adopted in the current budget year.

As a district in these difficult economic times, we are always looking for grant monies to help us stay current and update aging equipment. We are excited to receive this grant and are looking forward to standardizing our inventory that matches with our neighboring districts. This further enables our ability to work together and provide the best services possible.
