Tulsa Fire Investigators Make Meth Lab Arrest

Overnight Fire Investigators arrested James Dillon for manufactureing of a Controlled Dangerous Subtance (meth) on December 17, 2011. Investigators were doing follow up investigations of arson fires in the area near 5th and Madison. While asking James Dillon if he had seen any suspicious activity in the area the investigators noticed a chemical odor. Upon searching Dillon's backpack a working "one pot method" meth lab was discovered.

The Fire Marshal and Investigators have been canvasing the areas around reent arson fires to gather information citizens may have concerning any suspicious activity, and to show and increased presense in these specific neighborhoods. The Fire Marshall continues to encourage citizens to call 918-596-ARSN(2776) and report any activity that seems out of the ordinary and remind them that all calls remain annonyous.

A new partnership has been formed between the University of California San Diego, CAL FIRE, and San Diego County that is helping CAL FIRE/San Diego County FIre Authority to monitor the rural areas of San Diego, California for wildfires. The project, known as FireSite, is using webcams to show firefighters, Incident Commanders and dispatchers a real time, 360 degree view of areas that were previously difficult to view.
