Tulsa Firefighters vs. Police "Ringing the Bell" Results
December 19, 2011 Last Friday Tulsa Firefighters and Tulsa Police Officers competed at Woodland Hills Mall. They were ringing the bell and helping fill the kettles for the Salvation Army. Major Roy Williams, Tulsa Area Commander for the Salvation Army announced the results today. In a reversal of last years competition the Tulsa FireFighters out collected the Cops. The FireFighters collected $2,772 while the Cops collected $1396. Together, volunteers from these two fine organizations, raised $4,168 dollars to help the citizens of Tulsa. The Salvation Army thanks members of both organizations, and the citizens of Tulsa for their generosity of time and finances during this Christmas Season.
