US Forest Service Conducts Controlled Burn on Palomar Mountain
UPDATE 10:55 am: The US Forest Service has cancelled the controlled burn due to inclement weather. Information about rescheduling the burn will be released as soon as it is available. The United States Forest Service will be conducting a controlled burn January 18-19, 2011 in San Diego County, California. The burn will take place near the intersections of Palomar Divide Truck Trail and Halfway Road, placing it on a Northeast/East aspect of Palomar Mountain. According to a news release, fire crews anticipate burning approximately 200 acres beginning at 9:00 a.m. on January 18th.
