Ventura Fire Units Attack Blaze at Ventura High School
Ventura City fire units responded to a reported structure fire at Ventura High School on December 6, 2011. Upon arrival fire units were met by campus security personnel and directed to two separate locations where fires had been intentionally set. Both locations were bathrooms and campus personnel had already begun extinguishing efforts. Firefighters completed extinguishing the fires and assisted in cleaning up the damage. A fire investigator at the scene determined that the fires were intentionally set and was coordinating with the Ventura PD school resource officer assigned to the school to determine who was responsible. No damage occurred to the buildings where the bathrooms were located and a damage estimate was not determined. No injuries were reported and classes remained in session uninterrupted during the incident. Author:Ventura City Fire Deparment Press Release
