Wash Fire Continues in Arizona
The Wash Fire that started Thursday 15 miles southeast of Tusayan, Arizona has grown to approximately 200 acres. The fire on the Tusayan Ranger District of the Kaibab National Forest was sparked by lightning, according to a news release from the Kaibab National Forest. According to the National Weather Service, a slight drying trend is forecast for the area which could lead to an increase of the fire Currently there are 30 fire personnel on scene. The fire is being managed for resource objectives. The fire has the potential to grow within a 2,700 acre area that managers have defined for the incident, according to InciWeb.
