More than 3,500 firefighters continue to battle Arizona's Wallow Fire, that has burned 519,319 acres or nearly 800 square miles, since it began on May 29, 2011. Officials say the fire is now 51% contained with dangerous winds forecast for the area.

The state's largest wildfire has also burned into parts of New Mexico forcing the evacuation of the town of Luna. Half of the town's 200 residents refused to follow the mandatory evacuation order.

Near Santa Fe, the Pacheco Fire has grown to 3,000 acres with a smoke plume reaching 30,000 feet Sunday.

Fire officials are still looking into the cause of both fires.
