Zimek Systems' Micro-Mist® Technology is a Dry Vapor Decontamination (DVD) infection control system. Zimek's Dry-Mist® Micro-Particle Generator, valued at about $40,000, is used by public health and emergency services to significantly reduce the risk of transferring infectious diseases. According to Jim Cleary, a Zimek Distributor, the use of harmful disinfectants and chemicals, such as hydrogen peroxide, chlorine or ozone based disinfectants, is not required in the use of this incredible machine that can decontaminate and sterilize an entire room or emergency vehicle. Not only is the Zimek system safe and effective, but its technology can be applied conveniently as necessary and does not require the removal of carpets, curtains, electronic equipment, etc. "We can treat a hospital room and they can re-inhabit a hospital room in 20 to 25 minutes. It kills everything and nobody has to go in and wipe down behind it", Cleary states. This revolutionary system has been developed to activate Zimek's Dri-Mist® Treatment by converting Zimek's disinfectants into a vaporous flurry of disinfecting micro-particle bullets that have the power to kill microscopic environmental contaminants. Cleary explains that the Zimek system's Dri-Mist® kills infectious viruses including MRSA, Hepatitis C, HIV, VRE, Bird Flu and the Norwalk Virus. The system also destroys mold, mildew, bed bugs and lice. Zimek's Micro-Mist® Technology is used in hospitals and by fire and EMS professionals, and was tested in the UK by the Health and Safety Executive Laboratory, where it achieved highly impressive kills for all infectious bacteria. This equipment automatically delivers treatment to locations within an environment that are unreachable by any other disinfecting or sterilizing delivery system.
