A quick stop by City of Madison firefighters this evening prevented fire in an exterior wall from extending into the living areas of a multi-family residence at 132 Lathrop St. on April 17th, 2012.

A research agenda designed to help expedite the implementation of performance-based fire engineering and design methods for structures post 9/11 is the subject of a report, Structural Fire Resistance Experimental Research - Priority Needs of U.S. Industry, released by the Fire Protection Research Foundation (Foundation) and prepared for the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Engineering Laboratory.

The Memphis Fire Department responded to a second alarm fire at 3591 S. New Gate Drive, Monday, April 16, 2012 at 1:28 a.m. Upon arrival on the scene at 1:34 a.m., firefighters reported heavy fire visible from the two story wood-frame apartments. Rescue and Firefighting operations began immediately.

The Memphis Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 3078 Canyon Road, Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 5:40 a.m. Upon arrival on the scene at 5:46 a.m., firefighters reported heavy fire visible from the one story wood-frame residential structure. Rescue and Firefighting operations began immediately.
Fire Damage From Chimney Blaze Kept to Minimum Thanks to San Miguel Firefighters

San Miguel Fire District’s Engine 23 and its three person crew was first on scene of a chimney fire in a home on the 1200 block of Avenida Elisa in Spring Valley, California. That fire quickly moved from the chimney box to the attic.
