Andy Teeter of the Tulsa (Okla.) Fire Department completed a Master of Arts Degree in Security Studies at the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security on March 30, 2012.

Individual Charged In Connection With Golden Nugget Fire

A California man has been charged in connection with the two-alarm fire at the Golden Nugget Hotel on March 15, 2012 on the 22nd floor of Rush Tower. The individual is currently in custody at University Medical Center (UMC) as he continues to recover from injuries sustained during the fire.

The amount of water used during a fire when a building has a sprinkler system is less than that of an unsprinklered building, according to “Fire Flow Water Consumption in Sprinklered and Unsprinklered Buildings: An Assessment of Community Impact,” a new report released by the Fire Protection Research Foundation.
