Houston Fire Department Orders 6 New Ferrara Igniter Pumpers

The City of Houston has awarded another large contract to Ferrara Fire Apparatus, America’s premier custom fire apparatus manufacturer. Houston Fire Department, who currently operates nearly 70 Ferrara fire and rescue apparatus, has ordered 6 more custom rescue pumpers on Ferrara Igniter chassis.

Clark County Reaches Tentative Agreement with Firefighters

Clark County reached a tentative agreement today on a three-year collective bargaining agreement with the IAFF Local 1908. The agreement, which will run from July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2015, includes a two-year wage schedule freeze and the elimination of longevity for new employees.
Firefighter Kelly Crush Loses Four Year Battle with ALS

On Sunday, March 25th, 2012, retired veteran fire fighter, Kelly Erle Crush, lost his nearly four year battle with ALS. Kelly was an avid runner, a physically fit young healthy fire fighter who thought he had suffered a pulled muscle only to be told it was much more.
