FEMA Funding to Help California Fight Glenview Fire in San Bruno

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has authorized the use of federal funds to help the state of California fight the San Bruno Fire in San Mateo County.

At 6:24 p.m. Thursday night, a natural gas line ruptured in San Bruno, California. The fire burned 15 acres and is now 75 percent contained.
San Bruno Explosion Causes Large Fire

At approximately 6:15 this evening a huge explosion, described by witnesses as a massive fire ball, rocked the hills of San Bruno, California. Initially thought to be an airplane crash because of the close proximity of the fire to the San Francisco Airport, the fire is now reported to be related to a broken natural gas pipeline.
Four Mile Fire Burns Near Boulder

The Four Mile Canyon Fire that began Monday west of Boulder, Colorado has burned approximately 7,100 acres, according to InciWeb. At 3:00 p.m. a Red Flag Warning was issued by the National Weather Service for an area that includes where the fire is currently burning.

Rain Slows Growth of Arizona Hobble Fire

Managers report minimal growth on the Hobble Fire, 18 miles northeast of Williams, after measurable precipitation fell Tuesday. The fire is 950 acres. Most activity is interior smoldering. It will take several dry days before the fire resumes spreading.
