The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to move forward in their plan to create an automated system to suppress wildfires, according to ABC 7.

The United States Forest Service’s Border Fire Prevention Crew is made up of a unique group of firefighters whose job is to to put out camp fires built by illegal immigrants and to clean up the trash they leave behind in the Cleveland National Forest as they make their journey from Mexico to California. The group also renders medical aid to injured and sick migrants.
Bonita Vista Burn Project Planned for the Week of January 11

Forest Service Fire crews are planning to burn approximately 600 acres as part of the Bonita Vista project near Lake Hemet as early as January 11.

The United States Forest Service’s Border Fire Prevention Crew in San Diego, California, is the only one of its kind in the world. Their mission is to hike through the Cleveland National Forest searching for camp fires and remains of camp fires set by illegal immigrants. The crew extinguishes the fires and disburses the remains in order to prevent wildfires.
