| Mississippi Firefighter Dies Attempting To Save Drowning Victim
2/20/2011 3:40:43 PM Firefighter Larry Gressett, Sr. passed away on February 17, 2011, after attempting to save an elderly man who had fallen into a lake. Gressett, 33, was a five year member of the Toomsuba Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department in Toomsuba, Mississippi, and was one of several first responders who responded to a private lake on Sam Hurt Road for reports of a drowning. |

2/20/2011 1:55:13 PM Thomas Regan, a Volunteer Firefighter with the Garden City Park Fire Department and a Retired Deputy Chief with the FDNY, was laid to rest yesterday, February 19, 2011. The 82 year old firefighter passed away on February 17, 2011 at Saint Francis Hospital after suffering a line of duty injury on January 26, 2011 while responding to a carbon monoxide alarm, according to the U.S Fire Administration. |
