10/23/2009 9:42:40 AM Captain Matt Moore, a 23 year career firefighter, was memorialized when the Murrieta Fire Department Station #1 was dedicated in his name. He died on March 10, 2008 of a rare form of meningitis. It is believed that the disease in carried by an airborne amoeba. Captain Moore caught it while fighting wildland fires. |
