He sustained burns on 54 percent of his body, endured 10 surgeries and painful rehabilitation over the last three months, but Firefighter Robert Wiedmann smiled as he walked out of the hospital on March 23, surrounded by dozens of family, friends and firefighters.
Clark County Reaches Tentative Agreement with Firefighters

Clark County reached a tentative agreement today on a three-year collective bargaining agreement with the IAFF Local 1908. The agreement, which will run from July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2015, includes a two-year wage schedule freeze and the elimination of longevity for new employees.

On Sunday, March 25th, 2012, retired veteran fire fighter, Kelly Erle Crush, lost his nearly four year battle with ALS. Kelly was an avid runner, a physically fit young healthy fire fighter who thought he had suffered a pulled muscle only to be told it was much more.

Phoenix Fire Paramedics Reunite with Cardiac Arrest Victim

On October 5, 2009, Terry Schoen suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at his place of business. Two of Terry’s coworkers witnessed the arrest and within seconds put their training to use. Phoenix Fire Paramedics arrived on the scene and began advanced life support treatment.
